With Mercedes-Benz Mobilo you can expect the standard of service you receive by the roadside to be just as good as it is in our Official Workshops. And the best thing is you’ll receive it free of charge for the first four years from registration. Then, as long as you keep your scheduled servicing up-to-date from the fifth year onwards at one of our Official Workshops, you’ll continue to receive all the benefits of Mercedes-Benz Mobilo on a complimentary basis for as long as 30 years.
Fully trained technicians when you need them.
If you’re unlucky enough to break down, our Customer Assistance Centre will try to resolve the issue over the telephone to get you on your way. If the problem is more serious, then fully trained Mercedes-Benz technicians, with the latest Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment, will be with you as soon as possible. In some instances, you may not need a trained technician – for example, if you just need a tyre change. Alternatively, you may have filled your tank up with the wrong fuel in which case a roadside repair won’t be possible. In these cases, we will send a Support Technician or Recovery Operator instead.
We’ll be with you as soon as possible.
There’s nothing more frustrating than breaking down, particularly if you have an appointment to keep. So that’s why we aim to get to you within the hour (and in 85% of cases, we achieve this). However, we always prefer to send you the right help, rather than the wrong help quickly, so when you call, our roadside assistance team will discuss the options to agree the best solution for you.
What you can expect Mercedes-Benz Mobilo to cover.
You are covered if your vehicle fails to start, or can no longer continue its journey due to a Mercedes-Benz component failure. Technical breakdown cover is initially for the first four years from first registration. From the fifth year, for up to a maximum of 30 years, cover is retained upon completion of each scheduled maintenance service performed by a Mercedes-Benz Official Workshop.
You are covered if your vehicle fails to start or can no longer continue its journey – perhaps due to human error.
These mishaps could include:
- Lights left on
- Lost or locked-in keys
- Wrong fuel
- Out of fuel
- Puncture(s)
You are covered if your vehicle is immobilised due to an accident or accidental damage. Accident cover is initially for the first four years from first registration. For further details on the method of renewal from the fifth year onwards, please speak to your local Official Workshop when your standard four year term approaches expiry.
You are covered if your vehicle is immobilised as a result of vandalism, attempted theft or theft of the wheels. Vandalism/Attempted theft cover is initially for the first four years from first registration. For further details on the method of renewal from the fifth year onwards, please speak to your local Official Workshop when your standard four year term approaches expiry.
How Mercedes-Benz Mobilo can assist if you break down.
If the repair is a minor one, Mercedes-Benz will cover the cost of labour and small parts. This excludes the cost of batteries/tyres/keys/fluids.
If Mercedes-Benz can’t repair your vehicle by the side of the road, it will be towed to the nearest Official Workshop..
If you’re outside your local area and a roadside repair is not possible, Mercedes-Benz may arrange for your vehicle to be towed to your local Mercedes-Benz Official Workshop in order for the repair to be carried out. This will depend on the length of time you expect to be away from home and is at the discretion of Mercedes-Benz.
If your vehicle has been towed to one of our Official Workshops, Mercedes-Benz will arrange a replacement vehicle (of a similar category wherever possible). You will need to satisfy certain requirements including: production of your full driving licence, credit card details (for security), and a fuel deposit. Age restrictions may apply. If we have assisted for a technical breakdown, we will offer you a replacement vehicle until your vehicle is repaired by our Official Workshop, providing that you give us authorisation to carry out these repairs. We will endeavour to repair your vehicle as quickly as possible. If we have assisted for a minor mishap, accident, vandalism or theft, we will offer you a replacement vehicle for up to three working days.
If you need to remain in the area overnight, Mercedes-Benz will provide you and your passengers with hotel accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis for up to three nights.
If your journey is due to be continued by plane or train, Mercedes-Benz will reimburse you and your passengers any travel costs up to £280 per person. These costs can also include travel for the driver to return and collect the vehicle if the breakdown occurs outside your country of residence. Provision of this benefit is an alternative to a replacement vehicle.
Mercedes-Benz will reimburse you up to £45 for the cost of a taxi if required. For example, you may wish to use a taxi to continue your journey to the agreed replacement vehicle delivery location (home/work/rental provider premises).
