Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet Range

Mercedes-Benz has a history of producing high quality and iconic cabriolets that convey style and comfort, and have done throughout the last century.

The current range of cabriolets continue in this vein and express modern designs of the Mercedes range in a classy, roof down fashion.

2016 will see the introduction of the C-Class Cabriolet and the S-Class Cabriolet, both based on the current Coupé models, and will join the SL, SLC Roadster and E-Class Cabriolet.

Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet Range

The range gives the driver more scope, views and chance to enjoy the outdoors with superb folding soft-top and hardtop roofs that fold up or away in 20 seconds flat, so you can easily avoid the rain if the weather changes dramatically. All of the models in the Cabriolet range are fitted with the latest comfort technologies so that with the roof down, you will still have the interior comforts.

Starting from the SLC, the convertible range starts off well, with the SLK replacement available with either a hard or soft-top roof. Fitted with an efficient range of diesel and petrol engines, they are paired with either a manual in the SLC 200 petrol or Mercedes’s 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic gearbox. With the AMG SLC 43 model with a limited top speed of 155mph and a 0-62 time of 4.7 seconds, the SLC is no slouch.

The new C-Class Cabriolet takes many of its design cues from the coupé version and certainly looks the part. With the sporty design and dynamic feel, the C-Class Cabriolet is certainly one to look forward to, with an economical set of engines, including the V6 fitted to the C43 4MATIC, which was specially tuned by AMG to give extra performance and enjoyment to your drive. This model will be released this summer.

E-Classes are known for their style and practicality, and the E-Class Cabriolet certainly carries that forward, with a dynamic, angular look that stands out from the crowd. Thanks to its fabric-folding roof, it has a larger boot space than many of its market rivals, and with a comfortable four seats layout, it can transport you around in style. As the mid-range model, it can give the sporty and dynamic feel of the smaller models, but also the practicality and space of the higher range models.

The SL has been a staple of the Mercedes-Benz since the iconic and highly sought-after first generation, and the current sixth generation has helped to continue the superb quality that the previous models have offered. The lightweight and dynamic SL is one of the most exciting in the Mercedes range, thanks to the powerful engines and superbly engineered and well-balanced chassis. With a variety of options available, you will find the right version for you, including the special edition Mille MIglia 417 edition, named after the event that put the SL on the motoring map.

The top end and most luxurious of the Mercedes convertible range is the upcoming S-Class Convertible, which harks back to the styling of the classic Mercedes cabriolets from the 1950s and 60s. Four people can be ferried round in luxury, with all-leather seats and well-appointed interior. With the roof up or down, the S-Class Cabriolet exudes quality and with the impressive range of Mercedes engines under the bonnet, it won’t be slow either. But why drive fast in something so glamorous?
