Mercedes-Benz SLC 2016

The SLC Roadster is one of Mercedes’s standout vehicles due to its great style and superb performance, and as a two-seater convertible, driving pleasure and enjoyment is guaranteed.

Succeeding the immensely popular SLK model, with updated features and a new name to match the newly-reorganised Mercedes-Benz model classification, the SLC is a vehicle with which you may already be very familiar.

There are plenty of accessories available to make your SLC Roadster your own, such as extra comfort and performance features.

The AIRGUIDE package includes two roll-over bars and the AIRGUIDE device, which are two transparent wind deflectors that fit the back of the roll-over bars to make sure you can keep the noise down and decrease turbulence in the cabin. This extra is available for £315.

For extra design pointers for your SLC 43 or AMG Line, you can add the Night Package, which adds a front splitter, trim strip to the rear diffuser and the addition of high-gloss black paint to the radiator grille and wing mirror housing. For the AMG Line fitting it costs £495, whilst for the SLC 43 it costs £555.

The Dynamic Handling Package includes lowered suspension with adaptive damping, Direct-Steer system and Damping system, which features three basic settings: Comfort, Sport and Sport+. For the SLC Sport, this costs £1,205, whilst for the AMG Line model it is worth £995. This pack adds improved handling, a more dynamic cornering performance and more manoeuvring comfort when in slow situations.

For improved safety on the road, you can add the Lane Tracking and Driver Assistance packages, which add features that can keep you safe on the road. With Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist available in both packages, you get audible warnings of vehicles out of your field of vision and also vibratory warnings through the steering wheel if you unintentionally move out of your lane. With the Driving Assistance package, you get the Distance Pilot DISTRONIC, which along with an automatic transmission helps to keep the driver at a safe distance from the vehicle in front and this comes in handy during long journeys or in traffic jams. The Lane Tracking package is worth £595, whilst the Driving Assistance package costs £1,695. Both need the original vehicle to be fitted with the Mirror Package before this option is chosen.

With a multitude of other options available to you, you can kit out your SLC to the specification you want to. For more on all the accessories on offer to you, contact your nearest Inchcape Mercedes dealership.
